Creating Your Account
Welcome to Almost Finished! Creating an account is quick and easy, and opens up a world of restoration projects waiting to be discovered.
How to Sign Up
- Click "Sign Up" in the top right corner of any page
- Choose your method:
- Email: Enter your name, email address, and create a password
- Google: Click "Continue with Google" for one-click signup
- Facebook: Click "Continue with Facebook" to use your existing account
- Verify your email: Check your inbox for a verification link and click it to activate your account
- Complete your profile: Add a photo and bio to help other members get to know you
Choosing a Username
Your username will be part of your profile URL (e.g., almostfinished.co.uk/profile/your-username), so choose wisely:
- Keep it simple and memorable
- Avoid special characters where possible
- Consider using something related to your restoration interests
- Note: Usernames cannot be changed once set
Password Requirements
For your security, passwords must:
- Be at least 8 characters long
- We recommend using a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols
- Avoid using easily guessable information like birthdays
Tip: Using social login (Google or Facebook) means one less password to remember, and your account is protected by their security measures.
