Whether it's a classic car that needs finishing, a vintage motorcycle waiting for parts, or a boat restoration that stalled, we connect buyers and sellers who share a passion for bringing old projects back to life.
Yes! Creating an account and browsing projects is completely free. We believe in keeping our community accessible to all restoration enthusiasts. Listing your project for sale is also free for private sellers.
We feature a wide range of restoration projects including classic cars, motorcycles, boats, furniture, bicycles, caravans, and more. If it can be restored, it has a home on Almost Finished.

We don't inspect or verify projects ourselves. It's important to do your own due diligence before purchasing. We provide tools and safety tips to help you make informed decisions, but ultimately you should verify condition, ownership, and value independently.
Simply click the "Contact Seller" button on any project listing. You'll need to be logged in to send messages. All communication happens through our secure messaging system, keeping your contact details private until you choose to share them.
Yes! Click the heart icon on any project to add it to your favourites. You can access your saved projects from your dashboard at any time.
Important questions include: How long have you owned it? What work has been done? Why is it being sold? Are there any documents (V5, history file, receipts)? What's the extent of any rust or damage? Are all parts included? Can I see it running (if applicable)?
Absolutely! We strongly recommend viewing any project in person before committing to purchase. Photos can't tell the whole story, and viewing allows you to properly assess condition, verify the seller's claims, and negotiate fairly.
Payment is arranged directly between buyer and seller. We recommend using secure methods like bank transfer (after viewing) or PayPal Goods & Services. Never pay before viewing, and be cautious of unusual payment requests. See our Safety Tips for more guidance.

Great listings include: honest and detailed descriptions of condition, clear photos from multiple angles (including problem areas), complete history if known, realistic pricing, and quick responses to enquiries. The more information you provide, the more serious buyers you'll attract.
You can upload up to 20 photos per listing. We recommend using all available slots to showcase your project thoroughly. Include overall shots, detail shots, any damage or rust, the engine/mechanics, interior, and any included parts.

Research similar projects to understand market value. Consider the project's condition, rarity, included parts, and work already completed. Be realistic – overpriced projects attract fewer genuine enquiries. You can always adjust your price based on interest received.
