Found an interesting project? Here's how to get in touch with the seller and start a conversation.
Sending Your First Message
- Click on a project listing to view the full details
- Click the "Contact Seller" button
- Write your message in the text box
- Click "Send" to deliver your message
What to Include in Your Message
A good first message helps sellers take you seriously:
- Introduce yourself briefly
- Explain your interest in the project
- Ask specific questions about condition or history
- Mention if you're local and can view soon
- Be polite and professional
Example Message
"Hi, I'm really interested in your MGB GT project. I've been looking for one to restore for a while. Could you tell me more about the condition of the floors and sills? I'm based in Manchester and could come to view this weekend if it's still available. Thanks!"
Managing Your Conversations
- Access all messages from the Messages section in your dashboard
- You'll receive email notifications for new messages
- Keep all communication on the platform until you're ready to meet
Safety tip: Be cautious of sellers who immediately want to move communication off the platform or pressure you to pay before viewing.
