Condition: See Description and Photos img{max-width:100%} VINTAGE PAM VALVE RADIO FOR SPARES/PARTS OR POSSIBLE RESTORATION? CIRCA 1950s Clearing out my fathers old radios and valves. This lot is for a vintage PAM Valve Radio (Model Unknown) dating back to the 1950s for Spares, Parts or possible restoration. Structurally it is sound but all the black lacquer/paint is flaking off. I did remove the back and blew out the years of dust, then chanced my luck and plugged it into a light socket. It turned on okay, and once the valves warmed up (see photo) a loud hum emanated from the speaker. Unfortunately no other proper sound from any radio stations! All the dials, knobs and switch seem to work okay. It measures 17" x 7.5" x 11" and weighs 7kg. What You See Is What You Get! Maybe of interest to someone? Please See Photos! Collection from Hook, Hampshire. Good Luck and thanks for looking!
