CHOPPER CENTRAL - Staffordshire Raleigh Chopper MK1 or MK2 Frame Set Restoration with Decals and Paint Transfers PLEASE NOTE: YOU ARE NOT BUYING A FULL BIKE FROM ME - JUST THE RESTORATION OF YOUR OWN FRAME SET This listing is for the purchase of the professional restoration of a Raleigh Chopper MK1 or MK2 Frame Set Restoration, to show bike quality, including the application of our own decals and paint transfers (Reg'd Design No and Made in England) and super-slim vinyl decals on MK1). First, all parts are media-blasted back to bare metal and the sprayed with an etch primer and then two coats of high build polyester primer. All parts are then prepared/flatted for final painting, plus any filler work taken care of. The plan is to lose all signs of corrosion and pitting, but not such things as braising spatter from the original construction, which all add character. The parts are then sprayed with 2 coats of the chosen colour and in the instance of metallics, a final coat of clear gloss. All parts then remain in the paint booth to be baked to the hardened gloss you see here. The paint is not fragile and can take a knock of two. We then apply our own slim decals and Paint Transfers, including the Red'd Design and Made in England on the stand fitting. This gives the closest finish to the original factory look that we have found to date. The price listed is for MK1 solid colours, such as Golden Yellow, Pumpkin Orange, Horizon Blue and Black. Metallic colours are an additional £30. MK2 colours are Infra Red, fizzy Lemon, Ultra Violet, black, quicksilver and Space Blue. Again, metallics are an extra £30. Frame Sets can either be shipped to us, or dropped-off. Frame Set will be shipped back, fully insured and tracked in our strong custom boxes.
